If you want a trip on the wilder Cypriot side, grab a taxi to Ayia Napa and party until the early hours.
Well worth a visit is the capital city Nicosia, with over 1000 years of stories to tell and is within easy reach of Protaras. Wander through the old city’s narrow streets and see the craftsmen in their workshops practising trades unchanged for centuries. There are many museums and places of interest to visit including the old city walls and Cyprus Museum. Away from the older part of the city lies the metropolitan district with its attractive modern architecture.
