what size bar stool would be recommended for a 45″ tall counter?

We are looking for a comfortable height where we could eat at the counter.

The average table is 30 inches tall, and the chair you use at it is 17 inches tall to the seat, so if you get a 32 inch tall bar stool, you should be in proportionate height to that! If you feel comfortable sitting at your table, add the difference in height from the table height to the counter height, to the height of the chair.
