What are some specifics about Budgies and Cockatiel’s personalities?

Could someone elaborate on these two birds for me?

Which is more likely to enjoy daily activities? (hanging out on my desk when I’m on the computer or studying, sit on my shoulder while I do this or that, etc.)
Which is better suited for apartment living?
Which is more likely to enjoy play-time with myself?

I was also looking into a Senegal, but if anyone knows of other affectionate, quiet (apartment living quiet), and playful birds, please list them and describe them a little.

Well, Cockatiels to start it off are extremely compatible. They are very playful and love sitting on your shoulder; whether it they are napping, preening, etc.
Also, Cockatiels personality-wise, they are very gentle, kind, and LOVE attention. More of a “play with” type of bird.

Parakeets are very shy, and timid. Yes, they can be trained to sit here and there, and perch on your finger but they are not very “interactive” You probably wouldn’t be able to play with them much seeing how fragile and shy their personalities are.
Parakeets are very adorable, but more of a less “bonding” bird.

So, Here are the Answers to your Mini-questions.

Cockatiels would enjoy spending time with their owner doing ANYTHING. They sit and cuddle with you and can be very Enjoyable. They can be hyper if you want also, and jump around like little shenanigans.

I think both birds are work extremely well with apartment complexes. they’re small, and not very noisy. Take in mind though, both of the birds can be vocal, so they can’t be extremely quiet.

Again, cockatiels are more of a ‘touchy’ bird. you can pet them more easily and will not be afraid to handle them. unlike parakeets they tend to >.>; choke up blood if the kind of get poked. eheh.
