My light switch to operate an outlet. How I can change this to run something else?

In one room, a light switch near the door turns on / off the bottom of a socket outlet through the room. I want to install recessed lights and switch operation the lights in place. How I can replace the light switch on the lights and make a decision on a regular outlet? The hiring of an electrician is not a response. Thanks!

and if it had lights it would be better to run your switch does not turn the power off and connect the socket from the top down easier to buy a new socket because it is cheap. disconnecting the cables and the clip of what was the background and making way for a new junction box after the wire route to connect the cables the lighting color.
