How I can keep my vinyl tablecloth from slipping?

I have young children who bow down and pull the ends of a vinyl feel well supported tablecloth. I like all the fun seasonal tablecloths, does anyone have any tips to help stop it slipping all over? I do not want to sew elastic around the bottom, although I've done that before. I'm looking for a quick fix, as I can put something on top of my first wooden table place that will not ruin the table as a sticky?

Get a roll of anti-slip platform and cut a piece of the length of the table and place tablecloth over it. You can get a roll at Walmart for about $ 5
