I just moved into an apartment and the water is terrible. When first out of the tap, which tastes good, but smells like metal or oxide, but after leaving it for a while, has a metallic taste. Could I get a pitcher or filter tap water give me water? Should I start buying bottled water instead of a filter? This is in Richardson, TX

It is likely that the old pipes that are giving metallic taste water – not the water itself. So yes, I would buy bottled water.
