need bathroom storage idea for under vanity?

i have a long vanity in my bathroom with a sink on one side with a cabinet underneath with doors. The other side is simply vanity space and open space between the counter and the floor. I guess it was originally for a vanity stool or something. The area is 24 in high, 30 in wide and 18 inches deep. I would like to store extra towels/soap/washcloths/toilet paper, etc. I could just put a large basket there, but I really wanted a shelf/drawers, or something. Help!!!!!!! And thanks for thinking about it……

As in other reply–Fit shelves.This is easily done–Go to your local D.I.Y store & get some shelving brackets & wood& away you go.Depending on shelf bracket type–Go for the 1′s where you need to drill a small hole in the cabinet for the bracket pin to fix on–If there isn’t going to be too much weight on them.For heavier duty–go for a steel angle bracket that is screwed to both cabinet & shelf –Both for strength and added security.Depending on age-You may find that in your local bath centre you may be able to get shelves to match your existing cabinet.
