Buying Your First Electric Towel Rail

Home improvement does not have to be greatly expensive or time consuming.  Making a difference in your home does not have to involve major structural work or a big outlay in money. Little improvements can make a big difference and add a touch of luxury to your home.  If you concentrate on those areas where you spend most of your time or the rooms in which you relax most then you will get the best out of any improvements you make. The bathroom is always a good place to start as this is where you start your day first thing in the morning when it can be a bit chilly and unwelcoming.  It is also where you head to when you want to unwind in a hot soapy bath at the end of a long tiring day.  So you can make this room a bit of a haven with a few easy changes.

 

To make your bathroom feel warm and cosy on even the coldest of mornings you will want to ensure that it is done out in a warm color and add a few rich fabrics when hanging curtains and choosing bath mats or rugs.  If your bathroom is a little old fashioned and does not have any heating plumbed in you may want to add a suitable and bathroom safe heater which takes the chill off the room and allows you to relax and enjoy your bathing.  You could opt for the type of heater that comes on when you turn the light on or for one which you operate manually and just have on when you want it.

 

There are many different types of bathroom heater on the market today, but the one growing in popularity all the time is the electric towel rail.  This is great value for money as it is multi-purpose. You can install one of these in place of your old towel rail, so it will not take up any more room than you are using already.  It keeps your bathroom warm if left on and heats up your towels or bathrobe so that you are stepping out of the shower or tub and straight into a soft, warm and comforting towel. Just like being in a hotel!

 

Fitting an heated towel warmers could not be simpler. They can be free standing or wall mounted and if you choose to put them on the wall you can easily do this yourself. They will plug into a socket in the bathroom or for a safer approach they can be wired into the mains, although you will probably want to get an electrician to do this work for you. All you have to do really is decide what style you would like, where it would best sit in the bathroom and how many rails you need to store your towels.
