The best type of light for use under Cabinet Lighting?

Someone told me to use LEDs because the halogen bulbs do not last and create much heat.

If you have decorative tiles or something you want to accent the hottest halogen is the way forward. If your search for work lighting cord / Low voltage LED lights are the path. I've become more of a tile splash by what I've seen both in action. Its something personal but I do not mind fluorescent lights because most (not all) can be seen. GL
