Refinishing a blue toilet?

The home I bought has a blue, wall mounted toilet in one of the bathrooms. It just looks horid and I am eagar to change it. After looking for a plain white replacement I have determined that a replacement will just be too costly, to either buy a new wall mounted, or to replumb for a floor mounted one. What is the best way to “paint” the toilet white? Is this realistic? Thanks in advance!

I found wall hung toilets on-line in the $300.00 range. What I do not know is if your wall hung toilet has a tank built into it or if it has a flush valve like you find in commercial public bathrooms. In any case both types can be found for about the same price. Obviously these are lower end toilets but from reading the specifications, they are of better quality WRT flushing ability than the lower priced tank type toilets.
