Wang China

Wang China
Why China does not allow its players to play international basketball?

They only allowed Yao, Yi, Wang and Bateer to play in the NBA. I think the guards could use some playing time, either in the U.S. or Europe. Coach K of Duke said how he wanted Jiang Hua Chen at Duke. If China sent his foreign players, who knows what can be achieved? Yao has already proved the doubters wrong with his game of the NBA.

As noted above, China is a communist country. its citizens are not free to pursue their own interests. the government strictly controls all aspects of their lives. when a player is good, China blocks their rights early for him to have a huge price tag when the NBA is calling. It also forces good play for the national team, so Yao is to break the neck back soon to play in the Olympics. but will not be able to walk in the NBA regular season, at least he has represented his country.
