Cream or Yellow Paint with Brass/Gold fixtures?

Can I paint my walls yellow when I have brass or gold fixtures? I really like a cream or light or mustard yellow but I’m not sure about my lights and ceiling fan or door knobs. All the wood (fan blades, end tables, coffee table, etc.) are dark in color/stain. This is for a family room. We have red accents with a little green thrown in, and a hint of blue. We really don’t want anything dark and we prefer neutral or something that won’t be hard to resell. Thanks for any help!

I chose a light butter-cream color. It looked great with the brass/gold light fixtures. Remember that the wall will look darker than the paint sample, so go lighter than what you think you want. If you want to make the room more attractive to a buyer, I’d suggest losing the red accents. You needn’t go monochromatic, but avoid a “busy” or confused look.
